Until recently, Collioure’s main claim to fame was that this was the small fishing village that Matisse spent much of his time developing his painting style. Today, it has become a holiday destination for those who wish for something slightly quieter and less glitzy than the French Riviera.
I spent a few days there over a christmas and it was delightful. not only was it quiet with mainly locals, but I found it also a delightful place to photograph. This collection showcases my memories of this place and one of the images has been used by the local tourist board!
