Cities & Places
Cities have been part of my life as much as my photography. I was born in Oxford, studied and worked in London, lived and worked for years in Tbilisi and Kyiv, and later spent an extended period in Seville developing my photography. Other places, particularly Venice, became important through returning with a camera.
These galleries explore architecture, history and atmosphere, from familiar landmarks to quieter moments transformed by changing light, weather and time.
coasts & Water
Water is one of the subjects I return to most often. Living in Swanage has brought the Dorset coast close to my everyday photography, allowing me to revisit familiar places through changing tides, weather, seasons and light.
Further afield, from the Venetian Lagoon to Mediterranean shores and quieter inland waters, I am drawn to stillness, reflection, movement and open space. Long exposure sometimes helps simplify a scene, but the photograph always begins with the character of the place.
Monochrome
Black and white offers me a different way of seeing. Without colour, light, form, texture and tone become more important, allowing architecture to move towards abstraction, familiar landmarks to take on a different character, and landscapes or water to become quieter and more elemental.
These collections explore architecture, iconic places, minimalism, landscapes and seascapes through the expressive possibilities of monochrome.
Natural World
Nature makes me photograph in a different way. I am drawn to changing light, season, texture and form, from the wider atmosphere of landscapes and woodland to the individuality of a single tree or the intricate structure of a flower.
These collections bring together quieter observations of the natural world, often shaped by simple compositions and the small changes in light or weather that can transform a familiar place or subject.
Limited Edition Prints
Selected photographs from my wider body of work are chosen individually for presentation as limited-edition fine art prints. Each artwork is produced to museum-quality standards, individually numbered and accompanied by a personally signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Photography, for me, begins with noticing.
I am drawn to the moments when a place becomes quieter than expected: early light falling across a city, mist settling over water, an empty stretch of coast, or the geometry of a building revealed by shadow. These are often ordinary moments, but given time and attention they can take on a different presence.
