Shipping & Returns

Last updated: 9 September 2026

Every limited-edition print is produced individually to order by a specialist professional laboratory. Our current fulfilment partner is WhiteWall, which produces, carefully packages and dispatches each artwork directly to the buyer.

If you have any questions about delivery or returning an artwork, please contact johnfrwright@me.com.

Free delivery

Standard delivery is included free of charge with every order.

The website currently allows one artwork to be purchased per transaction. If you would like to purchase more than one print, each artwork will need to be ordered separately.

Where we deliver

Delivery is available to the countries served by our fulfilment partner. The destinations currently available for your order will be shown during checkout.

If your country is not offered at checkout, please contact us before ordering. We may be able to confirm whether another delivery arrangement is possible, although this cannot be guaranteed.

Production and delivery times

As every artwork is produced to order, please allow time for both production and delivery.

Typical delivery estimates are:

  • United Kingdom and European Union: approximately 8 to 9 working days

  • United States and other available international destinations: approximately 14 working days

These times are estimates and begin after the order has been accepted. They are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Delivery can occasionally take longer because of production requirements, public holidays, customs processing, courier delays, severe weather or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where tracking is available, the relevant details will be sent to the email address supplied with your order.

Delivery addresses

Please check that your name, delivery address, postcode and contact details are complete and correct before placing your order.

We cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer. If an artwork is returned or requires redelivery because the address was incorrect, unavailable or inaccessible, you may be responsible for the resulting additional costs.

Customs duties and taxes

Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties, local taxes, customs charges or handling fees.

These charges are determined by the destination country and are not included in the purchase price. They are the responsibility of the buyer.

John Wright Fine Art cannot predict or control these charges. Please contact your local customs authority if you require further information before ordering.

Receiving your artwork

Please inspect the packaging and artwork as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If the parcel shows visible signs of damage, please photograph it before opening where possible. Please retain the artwork and all original packaging until the matter has been resolved.

Your Certificate of Authenticity may be dispatched separately from the artwork.

Damaged, defective or incorrect orders

Every effort is made to ensure that your artwork reaches you safely and exactly as ordered.

If it arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact johnfrwright@me.com promptly and include:

  • your name and order number

  • a description of the problem

  • photographs of the artwork

  • photographs of the outer and inner packaging

  • a photograph of the shipping label

These photographs will help us investigate the issue with the production laboratory and delivery company.

Where an artwork is confirmed as damaged, defective or incorrect, we will arrange an appropriate replacement, repair or refund. We will also cover reasonable return costs where a return is required.

Requesting prompt notification does not affect your statutory rights.

Your right to cancel

If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you will normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the artwork, without giving a reason.

To cancel, email johnfrwright@me.com with:

  • your name

  • your order number

  • details of the artwork

  • a clear statement that you wish to cancel the order

After notifying us, you must return the artwork within a further 14 days.

Although every print is produced after it is ordered, choosing from the standard sizes and presentation options offered on the website does not, by itself, remove your statutory cancellation rights.

The right to cancel may not apply to an artwork that has been specially created, personalised or altered to your individual specification beyond the standard options offered on the website. Any such restriction will be made clear before you place the order.

How to return an artwork

Please contact us before sending an artwork back. We will provide the correct return address and instructions.

Do not return the artwork directly to WhiteWall or to an address shown on the original packaging unless we specifically ask you to do so.

Unless the artwork is damaged, defective or incorrect, you are responsible for the return-delivery cost.

The artwork should be:

  • returned in its original packaging where reasonably possible

  • packed securely to prevent damage

  • sent using an insured and trackable service appropriate for valuable artwork

  • returned with its Certificate of Authenticity if you have received it

Please keep your proof of postage until the return and refund have been confirmed.

You are responsible for taking reasonable care of the artwork while it is in your possession. We may reduce the refund if its value has been diminished by unnecessary handling or inadequate return packaging.

Refunds

When a valid cancellation is made, we will refund the price paid for the artwork.

As standard delivery is provided free of charge, there is normally no original delivery charge to refund.

Refunds will be made using the original payment method. They will normally be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned artwork or receiving satisfactory evidence that it has been sent, whichever occurs first.

We may withhold the refund until the artwork has been returned or satisfactory evidence of its return has been provided.

Customs duties, import taxes and handling charges paid to authorities or delivery providers are not collected by John Wright Fine Art and cannot normally be refunded by us. You may need to apply separately to the relevant authority or provider.

Exchanges

Because every print is individually produced to order, we do not operate a direct exchange service.

If you wish to select a different artwork, size or presentation, you should return the original artwork in accordance with this policy and place a new order.

Please contact us immediately if you notice an error after ordering. We will try to help, but changes cannot be guaranteed once production has begun.

Lost or significantly delayed orders

If your artwork has not arrived within a reasonable period after the estimated delivery date, please contact johnfrwright@me.com.

We will investigate the delivery with the fulfilment partner or courier. If the artwork is confirmed as lost, we will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
