CORDOBA
Fine Art Photography of Córdoba, SpainI first visited Córdoba while I was based in Seville, and the Mezquita-Cathedral was one of those places that genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Its scale, repeating arches and extraordinary layering of Islamic and Christian architecture make it almost overwhelming at first, but photographically it is the light and geometry that stayed with me.
Inside, the rhythm of the red-and-white arches, mosaics and filtered light creates a world of pattern, shadow and detail. Outside, Córdoba feels very different: warmer, more open, with the Roman Bridge, the Guadalquivir and the old city catching the late Andalusian light.
These photographs are my response to that contrast, from the intricate interior of the Mezquita to the wider city at sunset.
