Fine Art Nature PhotographyNature makes me photograph in a different way. In cities I am often looking for structure, geometry and the relationship between buildings and light; among trees, woodland or flowers, I find myself paying much more attention to smaller changes in colour, texture, shape and season.
I am often drawn to relatively simple subjects: the form of a single tree, light filtering through a woodland, or the intricate structure of a flower seen close up. Familiar places can change completely with the seasons, while a shift in light or weather can briefly reveal something that might otherwise go unnoticed.
These collections bring together my photographs of flowers, trees and woodlands, from intimate studies of natural form to quieter observations of the landscape around me. What connects them is a fascination with the way light and the seasons continually reshape the natural world.
