Amalfi Coast, Italy
The Amalfi Coast is often associated with brilliance and colour, but it was the quieter transition into evening that held my attention here.
As daylight receded, the coastline gradually dissolved into layers of blue. The last warmth in the sky settled across the water, where the cliffs, distant sea stacks and solitary rock appeared again as reflections. With the surface softened, sea and sky seem almost to merge, leaving the landscape suspended between light and darkness.
I wanted the photograph to preserve the stillness of that moment rather than simply describe the place. The receding headlands create a gentle sense of distance, while the isolated rock gives the open water a quiet point of presence. Amalfi Twilight invites the viewer to pause within the scene and experience something of its calm, space and fading light.

Amalfi Twilight is produced as a museum-quality Fine Art Print on Aluminium Dibond with Hahnemühle Photo Rag, chosen to preserve the photograph’s delicate tonal transitions, luminous twilight colour and softly layered atmosphere.
The subtle texture and matte surface of Hahnemühle Photo Rag give depth to the blues and gentle pinks while retaining the softness of the water, reflections and distant coastline. The print is mounted directly onto 3 mm Alu-Dibond, providing a beautifully flat, stable presentation.
The artwork is presented without a frame or white border. This clean, minimal finish allows the colour and reflection to continue uninterrupted to the edge of the image, strengthening its sense of openness and stillness. Aluminium rails on the reverse provide secure hanging while allowing the print to float subtly away from the wall.
