Oxford, England
The Radcliffe Camera is one of those buildings that seems to hold the character of Oxford within it. Having known the city for most of my life, I have passed it countless times, yet changing light and weather can still make it feel entirely new.
On this evening, the warm limestone stood against a sweeping blue-grey sky, the solidity of the architecture contrasting with the movement of the clouds above. The surrounding streets had fallen unusually quiet, while the bicycles resting along the railings added a small, familiar trace of everyday Oxford life.
I wanted to capture that balance between grandeur and intimacy. The Radcliffe Camera is unmistakably monumental, but for me its beauty lies just as much in the atmosphere around it: the changing light, the quiet streets and the sense of history woven naturally into the life of the city.

Radcliffe Camera is produced as a museum-quality Fine Art Print on Aluminium Dibond with Hahnemühle Photo Rag, chosen to preserve the photograph’s architectural detail, restrained colour and rich tonal depth. The beautifully soft, matte surface of Photo Rag gives the image a natural, almost tactile quality, allowing the warmth and texture of Oxford stone to sit quietly against the cooler blue-grey sky, while retaining the delicate transition of light across the scene without distracting reflections.
The print is mounted on 3 mm Alu-Dibond, providing exceptional stability and a clean, contemporary finish. It is presented in a Natural Oak Hamburg 20 mm frame, whose slightly broader profile gives the work a strong architectural presence while the warmth of the oak complements the limestone tones of the Radcliffe Camera. A white motif border creates separation between image and frame, giving the photograph an elegant, gallery-style presentation.
Each size is individually proportioned to suit its scale. The 56 × 40 cm edition is presented with a 3 cm white motif border and has external dimensions of 66 × 50 cm. The 84 × 60 cm edition features a more generous 5 cm white motif border, with external dimensions of 98 × 74 cm. At the largest scale, the 139.9 × 100 cm edition uses a narrower 2 cm white motif border, allowing the architecture and sweeping sky to command greater presence within the frame, with external dimensions of 147.9 × 108 cm.
Across all three sizes, the consistent combination of Hahnemühle Photo Rag, 3 mm Alu-Dibond and the 20 mm Natural Oak Hamburg frame gives the work a refined and substantial presentation, designed to complement both the architectural character of the photograph and the quieter atmosphere of the light in which it was made.
