Stonehenge, Wiltshire, England
Stonehenge has been photographed countless times, but what has always interested me is not simply its scale or history, but its sense of presence. These stones have stood on Salisbury Plain for thousands of years, enduring while the landscape and the world around them have changed almost beyond recognition.
In this image I wanted to strip the scene back to its essential elements: stone, light and sky. Beneath the full moon, the monument becomes almost sculptural, its weathered forms emerging from the cool blue-grey atmosphere with a quiet, timeless quality.
The simplicity of the composition is deliberate. By removing the distractions of the surrounding landscape, attention settles entirely on the stones themselves and the extraordinary shapes created by their arrangement.
Under the Full Moon is my interpretation of Stonehenge as something beyond an archaeological monument. It is about permanence, mystery and the remarkable connection we can still feel with a place created by people thousands of years before us.

This image of Stonehenge is produced as a museum-quality Fine Art print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag, chosen for its soft texture, exceptional tonal depth and beautifully understated matte surface.
The print is permanently mounted to Alu-Dibond, creating a rigid, archival-quality presentation with excellent stability while retaining the character of the fine art paper.
Each piece is finished in a 15 mm Black Oak Basel frame, selected to complement the quiet, natural character of the image. The photograph is presented without a border, allowing the composition to extend cleanly to the edge of the print.
Each artwork is individually produced to order by WhiteWall, one of Europe’s leading professional photographic laboratories.
