BRISTOL CHANNEL
Original Fine Art PhotographyImmerse yourself in the dramatic coastal heritage and vast, atmospheric tides of Britain’s southwest shores through a masterfully curated collection of fine art seascape and coastal landscape photography. Capturing the unique visual contrast along these legendary waters, this series highlights iconic maritime structures, expansive sandy shores, and historic pier architecture bathed in ever-changing coastal light. From the unique timber design of a historic wooden lighthouse standing tall on stilts against fiery golden sunsets to high-contrast monochrome studies of weathered pilings reflected in low-tide wet sands, every photograph explores the delicate balance between human craftsmanship and the elemental power of the sea. Long-exposure compositions transform shifting tidal waters into smooth, glowing mirrors, revealing hidden coastal waterfalls, tranquil beach textures, and the romantic charm of historic pier ruins under soft moonlight.
A Tale of Two Towns
Weston Super Mare really tries while Burnham-on-Sea rests on its laurels. Weston has done much in recent years to upgrade its profile with major redevelopments of its marina, work on the Birnbeck Pier and much more. Known for its luminaries such as John Cleese, it suffered over the past years as a seaside resort. It is making a come back and you feel there is an emerging sense of pride in the place. Burnham-on-Sea on the other hand seems very down at heal. It draws photographers, as it did me, because of the wooden lighthouse. Currently, it has very little more to offer and no one seems to care much about it.
This collection showcases images from these two towns as well as some others of places nearby.
