Living in Swanage has given me the opportunity to photograph the Jurassic Coast throughout the seasons and in continually changing light. This collection brings together photographs from some of Dorset’s most recognisable coastal locations, including Durdle Door, Old Harry Rocks, Swanage Bay and Peveril Point.

Rather than simply recording the drama of the coastline, I am drawn to its quieter moments: the softness of the sea after a long exposure, the last warmth of evening light, or the stillness that settles before sunrise. Familiar cliffs, arches, piers and shorelines become places of atmosphere and reflection.

These photographs are shaped by repeated visits and by the experience of living close to the coast. They are not only studies of Dorset’s landscape, but an attempt to preserve something of what it feels like to stand at the edge of the land, surrounded by light, water and time.
